COUCH TO 5K

We offer a six week C25K programme designed to get new runners into the sport slowly and 'non scarily'.

The programme always starts with a gentle 1 minute running followed by 1 minute walking, repeated 10 times and progressively builds up to 5k.  We always provide Run Leaders to offer support and Tail Runners to never leave your side.

It lasts 6 weeks, with members attending on Tuesdays and Thursdays and occasionally an additional run is offered on a Sunday depending on the availability of the Run Leader. 

At the end of the programme, runners will undertake their 5k race day, and although it may sound scary now, it truly is not.  All club members come along to offer their support and to marshall at key points along the route.  You really will feel the power of the club support.

Below is a detailed plan of the programme, however this does change from time to time depending on the Run Leaders analysis of the programme runners.

All runners receive a special C25K Medal on their race day.
